Navigate to [City of Westfield Citizens Portal](https://www.civicgov4.com/in_westfield/portal/index.php).

Click “Details” next to the inspection you want to view information for.

When an inspection has been scheduled, the status will show “Open.” The inspection start date and time (for footing inspections) indicate when the inspection is scheduled.

When the inspector has completed the inspection, you should receive an email.

To check the status of the inspection, follow Steps 1–4 above.
&nbsp;
The status will show the inspection result. In this example, the inspection has failed. Notes explaining why the inspection failed will be listed in the “Comments” field.

To request a re-inspection for a failed inspection, click “Inspections” from the sidebar menu.

Enter the Permit # in the “Permit Number” field and press Enter on your keyboard.

The permit information will populate. Verify that the information shown matches the permit for which you want to request the inspection.

Click “Next ».”

This step will display the failed inspection in the "Completed Inspections" section.

In Step 2: Inspection Information, click “Reinspect” next to the failed inspection to request a re-inspection.
&nbsp;
Important: Do **NOT** click “Next” or “Schedule a New Inspection.” Only click “Reinspect.” If either option is selected, stop and start over.

Choose the date and time for your requested inspection.
&nbsp;
NOTE: Footing inspections are the ONLY timed inspections. All other inspections may occur at any time within the 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM inspection window, regardless of the requested time.

Click “Submit” when you have selected all the requested dates and times.

From the Dashboard, click “My Inspections.” The re-inspection will appear with an “R” in front of the Inspection Number.

After the re-inspection has been completed, you can find the inspection status in the “Details” of the inspection.

The status will indicate the inspection result.

You can now log out of the portal.
