Before requesting your inspection, please read the important notes below.
&nbsp;
- Inspections are conducted within the standard inspection window of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 
- Changes and cancellations must be completed through the City of Westfield Citizens Portal. 
- Same-day cancellations for scheduled inspections (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) will result in a fee equal to a failed inspection. This applies to all inspections except footing inspections.
- Footing inspections are the only inspections that may be requested for a specific time.
- Commercial Final inspections must be scheduled by phone. Please contact Community Development at (317) 804-3150, option 5.
- All other inspections may occur at any time within the 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM inspection window, regardless of a requested time.
- When an inspection is scheduled, an email confirmation will be sent showing the confirmed inspection date, even if up to three preferred dates were originally requested.
- The site must be accessible and ready for inspection throughout the scheduled inspection window (e.g., debris, standing water, snow, or other obstructions must be cleared). Failure to provide safe and accessible conditions may result in a failed inspection and applicable reinspection fees.

Click “SIGN IN” after entering your “USER EMAIL” and “PASSWORD.”

Inspections are requested by Permit # only.
&nbsp;
Follow Steps 5–7 to locate the Permit #.
&nbsp;
If you already have your Permit #, skip to Step 8.

To locate your Permit #, click “My Permits.”

Look through the permits in your account to find the correct Permit #.

Note: The Unit ID will be the Lot # if that is how the building location is identified.
&nbsp;
Locate and select the correct Permit #.

Highlight the Permit # and press [[[ctrl]]] + [[[c]]] to copy the Permit #.
&nbsp;
Once the Permit # is copied or noted, click “Inspections” in the sidebar menu.

In Step 1
&nbsp;
Enter the Permit # in the “Permit Number” field and press Enter on your keyboard.
&nbsp;
If you copied the Permit #, press [[[Ctrl]]] + [[[V]]] to paste the Permit #.

The permit information will populate. Verify that the information shown matches the permit for which you want to request the inspection.

Click “Next ».”

In Step 2: Inspection Information, click “Next ».”
&nbsp;
Important: Do **NOT** click “Schedule a New Inspection.” If this option is selected, stop and start over.
&nbsp;
This step will also display any Upcoming Inspections and Completed Inspections.
&nbsp;
If you need to reschedule or cancel an inspection, click on the inspection number shown to make those changes. **Do not create a new inspection request.**

In Step 3, click “Select Inspection Type.”

Choose the **inspection type** you want to request.

Click the calendar to the right of the “Select 3 Dates” field to request a date.
&nbsp;
**The City of Westfield does not perform same-day inspections.**

Choose the **date and time** for your requested inspection.
&nbsp;
NOTE: **Footing inspections** are the **ONLY** timed inspections. All other inspections may occur at any time within the 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM inspection window, regardless of the requested time.

Click “Done” when the first date and time have been chosen.

Click the calendar to the right of the “Select 3 Dates” field to request an additional date and/or time.

**NOTE:** If you are requesting separate inspections, please indicate this in the “Enter a Description of the Inspection Requested” box. For example, if you need to request three separate footing inspections, clearly note this in the box to ensure proper scheduling.

Continue selecting dates and times for your inspection request.
&nbsp;
**NOTE:** Three dates and times are not required. You may enter only one date and time if preferred.

The time can be adjusted by sliding the box left or right in the hour bar and minute bar. 
&nbsp;
The time will display above the selection bars in military time (24-hour format). Subtract 12 hours to convert to standard time.
&nbsp;
Please only select times on the half hour.

Click on "Done" when you have selected all the requested dates and times.

Click in the “Enter a Description of the Inspection Requested” field and enter your name (Requestor Name), your phone number (Requestor Phone Number), and any important notes our schedulers may need to know.

To view your requested inspection submission, click “My Inspections.”

Click “Details” next to the requested inspection.

All requested inspection details are shown here.

You have successfully requested an inspection. 
&nbsp;
Once your inspection is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email with the date (and time, if it is a footing inspection) that your inspection is scheduled for.
